Population 

The graph demonstrates the growing population of Forest of Dean in a decade between 1995 and 2015. According to new data taken from the Office of National Statistics, the population of Forest of Dean reached 87,000 in 2021.

There has been an increase of 27.8% in people aged 65 years and over, an increase of 0.1% in people aged 15 to 64 years, and an increase of 1.1% in children aged under 15 years.
The statistics have shown that an increasing number of people aged 25 - 65 and over, they are might be highly possible clients for the Family House project. 

Leisure and Facilities

In the forest, children can spend their holidays with their parents. In addition, living out of cities and getting rid of stress creates a good relationship in a family. There are several entertainment places for all ages at Forest of Dean. For instance: Beechenhurst Cafe, Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail, Forest of Dean Cycle Centre and others.

  1. From your demographic research it looks like the area is getting older and wealthier - this can impact your design in terms of the cost and type of material you use as your potential client may be wealthier than we thought at the beginning of the project.

    Add text on the examination of this research - it looks like a good area to bring up kids but also a great place to retire.
