 Capital Hill House (2018)

Capital Hill Residence is a private house located in the Barvikha forest, Moscow, Russia, designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The project honours early imaginative modernism, which ranged from expressionism to constructivism and the visual dematerialization of building, which gave the impression that it was fluid and dynamic rather than rigid and static. Three legs—concrete columns—articulate the house's two major parts, creating a dynamic dialogue between them while also serving as structural support.

The residence is a six-story structure with an unusual and complex shape that reflects the local landscape. The 2,650 square meter home has an unique geometric design that resembles a spaceship or other futuristic object.

The Capital Hill Residence's sloped, organic shape, which was influenced by the surrounding landscape, is one of its most noticeable characteristics. The structure's dynamic curves and flowing lines give off a feeling of flexibility and movement. The home is situated on a hillside, and because of the way it is designed, it fits in perfectly with the forest that surrounds it. The Capital Hill Residence's interior is just as stunning as its exterior. The home has a bright design that makes the most of natural light and gives the impression of space.

In terms of materials, the Capital Hill Residence is made up of reinforced concrete, steel, and glass. A series of curved glass panels covering the exterior of the house mirror the forest outside and give the space a feeling of transparency and freedom.
