Houston, Texas is a thriving and diverse metropolis known for its rich culture and business prospects. For my project on the demographic dynamics of the city, I began to study the composition and characteristics of the population of Houston. This study aims to illuminate Houston's diverse demographics by providing an overview of Houston's age distribution, racial and ethnic composition, and socioeconomic indicators. By reviewing relevant information and adding personal experiences, I provide a thorough understanding of Houston's demographic landscape.

Houston has a very diverse population, with many racial and ethnic groups. The US Census Bureau (2020) reports that Houston has significant populations of the following racial and ethnic groups:
According to 2020 data from the US Census Bureau, Houston's white population is 739,873. With a population of approximately 1,013,423 (US Census Bureau, 2020), the Hispanic or Latino community has a significant impact on Houston's demographics. Black or African Americans are 520,389. US Census Bureau reports Houston has an American Indian and Alaska Native population of 27,428. Houston's Asian community is approximately 167,189 people. In addition, Houston welcomes a variety of racial and ethnic groups, including Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, not Hispanic or Latino, two or more races and some other races around 307,970
